The earth ( laughs ) in flOwers*

We've come a long way from winter pansies! As the summer heats up, the plants are thriving and the garden is becoming so lush. New to the blogging world, yet super excited to share my adventures in the gardens of the East Coast. Warm summer breezes and afternoon thunderstorms provide an amazing atmosphere for some spectacular colors of beauty. The garden is amping up for a long, hott summer of buds n blooms!

Starting with the spring crocus, these beauties came bounding out of the earth,
after a very mild, snow-less winter!

My brown-eyed Susans were stunning last year ~ patiently awaiting this years crop *

Despite last year's (2011) Hurricane Irene, the passionflowers weathered the storm in full bloom!

After a couple cold nights last October, the pond iris popped up out of thin air!
These are just a couple pictures from last year's gardens ~ this years should be even more beautiful *
